The whole thing, step by step

How 20% cash back works.

Every card company keeps a cut of your sales. We send 20% of our cut back to you, every month. Here is where that money comes from, when it shows up, and what it costs.

Two kinds of money

Only one of them is new.

Your sales

Nothing changes here.

Your card sales, minus the rate you already pay, land in your bank the same business day on most accounts. This is your money. Every card company moves it. Switching to us does not change any of that.

Cash back

20% of our cut, from us.

The rate you pay gets split up between the card networks, the banks and the card company. The card company's slice is where their money is. We send 20% of our slice back to you each month. That is the cash back.

Why we do it this way. A card company that only makes money when you get charged more has no reason to care how you are doing. Our side goes up when your sales go up. A busy month for you is a good month for us, and a slow one costs us too. That puts us on the same side as you. It also means we will tell you when something is not worth buying.

The numbers

Your number, in writing, before you sign.

Your cash back depends on two things: how much you run on cards, and what you pay now. So we do not put a made-up table here. We work out your real number on the call and put it in writing.

What you tell usWhat we show you
What you run on cards in a monthYour cash back, in dollars, every month
What you pay your card company nowYour rate with us, which is the same
How many refunds you giveWhat you still pay, and the $24.99
Nothing elseWhat you keep

The more you run on cards, the bigger the cash back. It goes up every month your sales go up. If you do not run much on cards, the $24.99 can cost more than the cash back pays. We say so on the first call instead of signing you up.

The calendar

What happens, and when.

Week one: we match your rate and ship your terminal.

What you pay now becomes your rate with us. Most people are approved in one business day. The terminal shows up with your prices already in it.

Every day: your money, like always.

Close out at night and your card sales land the same business day on most accounts. Your money lands the same business day on most accounts. It depends on your bank and what time you close out at night.

Every month: cash back.

You get 20% of our cut for that month, straight to your bank. The first one comes about six weeks after you start. After that it is monthly.

Straight answers

What owners ask first.

If your question is not here, call us and a person will answer it.

20% of what, exactly?

Every card company keeps a cut of your sales. That cut is where every card company makes its money. We send 20% of our cut back to you, every month.

It is not 20% of your sales. It is not 20% of your rate. It is 20% of what we earn on your account.

We show you your exact dollar amount on the call, in writing, before you sign anything.

Is this my own money coming back?

No. Your card sales go to your bank like always. The cash back is a second payment, from us. It comes on top of your sales, never out of them.

How big is it?

That depends on how much you run on cards and what you pay now. The more you run, the bigger it gets. It goes up every month your sales go up.

We do not guess at it. We work out your number on the call and put it in writing before you sign anything.

What is the catch?

There is a monthly cost, $24.99. It is printed in full on the price page. You also still pay the card fee on refunds. That is the whole of it.

If you do not run much on cards, the $24.99 can cost more than the cash back pays. We say so on the first call instead of signing you up.

When does the money come?

Once a month. The first one comes about six weeks after you start. After that it is every month.

How do you send it?

Straight to the bank account your card sales already go to. Anything under $25 rolls into next month. Your dashboard shows what this month has earned and what we already paid.

Does my rate really stay the same?

Yes. We match what you pay today and that is your rate with us. If you are on a flat-rate reader or an odd old deal, we work out what you really pay first, so the match is honest.

What about referrals?

Send us another owner and you earn 0.2% of their card sales every month they keep taking cards with us. One level only, so your friend's own referrals are their money, not yours.

Does dual pricing change the cash back?

Dual pricing changes who pays the card fee. Your cash back works the same way with it or without it: 20% of our cut, back to you every month. We show you both numbers on the call.

Fifteen minutes

Run your numbers.

Tell us what you run on cards in a month and what you pay now. We will show you the cash back, the cost, and what you keep. Then you decide.
